Like the equally horrible Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve, this Holiday Event movie was nothing more than a cynical attempt to pull together famous faces with a date to try and get people who don't have any idea what to do on Mother's Day into the cinema.

Full of tired looking actors and absolutely no characterisation to speak of, the film never wastes time trying to be likeable and seems to think it's stumbled on the same formula as Love Actually. It hasn't. It's bland, mindless, paint-by-numbers film-making and if you took your mother to see it - or bought it for her - she now knows you hate her.
