10 Best 2017 Movie Trailers

8. Beauty And The Beast

Spider-Man Homecoming
Disney

Release Date: March 17, 2017

The Trailer: Instantly hooking you in with that classic score, the trailer is a visual and audible delight for fans of the animation.

Obviously, we know how this movie plays out, so the trailer can afford to be liberal, and it didn't disappoint in this regard - we get shots of Gaston's song, the climactic fight, the famous dance, the wolf attack, and the magical rose and mirror.

The feeling of nostalgia is strong with this one, and that means the trailer did its job sufficiently; to remind us of everything we enjoyed about the original.

The Movie: Disney have been on a roll with their live-action remakes recently - Cinderella and The Jungle Book were both well-received financial successes - so hopefully they can continue that streak here.

Some scenes will differ from the original slightly, such as Maurice's first encounter with the Beast, but the broader plot should stay largely the same, as is the case with Disney remakes.

It remains to be seen how well the film's now-formulaic tale will age, but a cast that includes Ian McKellen, Ewan McGregor, Josh Gad and Luke Evans should help freshen up proceedings significantly.

He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
