8. The Pool Fight - The Strangers: Prey At Night

Nobody would blame you for skipping the latest Strangers movie entirely, but if you do, you'll be missing out on one of the most surprisingly visceral and unsettling fight scenes of the year to date.

After their parents are murdered by the series' iconic masked killers, Kinsey (Bailee Madison) and her brother Luke (Lewis Pullman) find themselves facing off against the creepy assailants themselves.

As Luke makes it to the trailer park's pool, he's attacked by the killers, but manages to stab one of them to death while Bonnie Tyler's classic "Total Eclipse of the Heart" plays out over the P.A. system.

At that moment, the axe-wielding member of the gang shows up, leading to an intense sequence where Luke just barely avoids being hacked in half, and the pair tumble into the swimming pool.

After a struggle, Luke attempts to escape, but the killer catches up to him and stabs him in the chest, before leaving him to bleed out in the pool.

Seeing Luke struggle to escape the pool as Bonnie Tyler blares out and his blood fills the pool is a truly gut-wrenching, agonisingly prolonged moment, which is eventually alleviated by Kinsey showing up to pull him from the pool.

The rest of the movie isn't so great, but this sequence definitely deserves to be seen.
