1. Pretty Much The Entire Movie - Mad Max: Fury Road
Genre films, especially action blockbusters, don't tent to pick up much recognition from the Academy Awards outside of the technical categories, but as one of the best movies of 2015 Mad Max: Fury Road more than deserves its ten nominations including Best Picture and Best Director. Veteran George Miller quite simply crafted a high-octane action masterpiece, packed with stunning wall-to-wall set-pieces that make it almost impossible to single out any one in particular, they're all just that damn good. The fight between Max Rockatansky and Imperator Furiosa, the visually jaw-dropping chase through a massive sandstorm, Max and Furiosa's expertly-choreographed teamwork in taking out the Rock Riders and the stunning final sequence that sees our heroes take on Immortan Joe and his army head-on are each individually worthy of inclusion on this list. However, when you consider how stacked with high-spots the movie is, barely giving the narrative any time to pause and catch its breath, the 120 minute action scene that is Mad Max: Fury Road is more than worthy of taking the top spot.
