6. Nightclub Shootout - John Wick
John Wick may have been released in the United States in October 2014, but it wasn't until February of last year that the Keanu Reeves genre flick made its way to this side of the pond. Without a doubt one of the greatest action movies of the 21st Century, stunt coordinators-turned-directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch delivered plenty of expertly-crafted and fluid set-pieces, which is sadly an increasing rarity in the age of quick-cutting and over-reliance on CGI. The movie's standout set-piece comes as the title character makes his way through the Red Circle nightclub in search of the man that not only stole his car, but killed his dog. The bastard. Although he may fail in his main objective, plenty of disposable henchmen aren't so lucky. Set to a thumping techno soundtrack, Wick uses his impressive array of skills to stab, shoot and maim his way through the club in a stylish and kinetic display of bloody brutality.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
