10 Best Alien Abduction Horror Movies
2. No One Will Save You
No One Will Save You made an immediate impression when it debuted since the film is completely devoid of dialogue. In the wrong hands, this decision could've come across as a needless gimmick.
Fortunately, Kaitlyn Dever carries the movie as the heroic seamstress, Brynn, effortlessly conveying the subtlest and most intense emotions without uttering a single word.
Also, Brynn proves to be a solid lead. Despite the aliens' telepathic powers and advanced tech, the badass dressmaker knows when to run, hide, or fight, allowing her to repeatedly come out on top.
The Hulu original keeps everybody on their toes by routinely flipping genre. One moment, it's a cat-and-mouse home invasion, the next, it's a psychological drama, before descending into a full-scale sci-fi thriller.
Every scene is riddled with anxiety-driven action, with Brynn constantly running for her life, battling extra-terrestrials, and avoiding tractor beams. And after she encounters a mind-altering parasite, she is forced to fight the alien threat - not just physically, but mentally.
At first, it seemed odd to turn No One Will Save You into a silent movie. However, the cosmic horror is brimming with so many creative ideas, dialogue would've just got in the way.
