9. He's Just Not That Into You - Cooper And Johansson
Here's a horrific image: super spy, Black Widow locking lips with Rocket Raccoon. Yeah, well a bit more than a make-out session transpires in this 2009 romantic comedy-drama that revolves around the lives of nine individuals and their relationship hiccups.
The story follows an ensemble cast of all star talent, who each have varying levels of connection to one another, through the ups and downs of love. From a girl who always misreads her dates, resulting in the titular phrase 'he's just not that into you,' to a cohabiting relationship contending with the idea of marriage.
Bradley Cooper and Scarlett Johansson's story is focused on Cooper's dwindling marriage and his infidelity with Johansson. She's a young, attractive yoga instructor and aspiring singer, he's a... actually it's not clear what his job is, but he says he can help further her career. Classic sleazy stuff. Cooper has a tendency to be cast as sleazy roles, or cool guy roles... or raccoons, I suppose.
In any case, even when Cooper's character, Ben, ends things with his wife, the affair with Johannson's Anna quickly ends in dismay also, leaving them all alone.
Black Widow and Rocket Raccoon didn't share that much screen time in the two MCU movies they featured in together, maybe now we see why.
