10 Best Blumhouse Horror Movies You've Probably Never Seen

7. A Nasty Piece Of Work

The Town That Dreaded Sundown
Hulu

Yet another entry from Hulu's Into The Dark, A Nasty Piece Of Work is set during Christmas and is one of, if not the, strongest films from the anthology series.

The film follows Ted (Kyle Howard), as he works his ass off trying to get a big promotion and holiday bonus in his highly competitive corporate job, only to find out that he will be getting neither. However, his boss Steven (Julian Sands) invites him and his work rival Gavin (Dustin Milligan) over for a unique opportunity of advancement: A violent and twisted game of escalating dares and high stakes.

Sands delivers the highlight performance of the film as the corporate overlord Steven. He perfectly comes across like an entitled and pompous ass and makes you despise him more and more as the film progresses. Not to be outdone, Howard and Milligan play well off of one another as they compete to earn their bosses favor.

If you were to watch one film from Hulu's Into The Dark series, A Nasty Piece Of Work should be it. Yes, it may be somewhat generic at times with its premise, but it's one of the few films in the series that feels like it stands on its own two feet. It's a highly entertaining watch, as it doesn't take itself too seriously and delivers both laughs and solid horror moments throughout.
