10 Best British Horror Movies Since 2000
3. Shaun Of The Dead (2004)
The nation’s favourite black comedy, Shaun of the Dead is consistently marked as a piece of British “horror” cinema at the top of its game. Following Shaun (Simon Pegg) as he tries to defend himself and his family against a horde of bloodthirsty zombies, director Edgar Wright takes all the best parts of classic zombie flicks and makes them that much better. Beating the undead to death to a soundtrack of Queen, training themselves up in the art of the zombie, and of course, utilising the pub as an ultimate defensive base: every box is ticked.
It's a reaction that we can all get on board with: Go to the Winchester, have a pint, and wait for this whole thing to blow over. Wouldn't we all do the same?
