10 Best Characters In Guy Ritchie Movies

4. "Bullet Tooth" Tony - Snatch

Snatch Brad Pitt
Sony Pictures

Similar to his role in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998), Vinnie Jones plays "Bullet Tooth" Tony, a bounty hunter so named because of the two bullets he took to the mouth and survived. Tony is hired by Cousin Avi (Dennis Farina) to try and track down a large 86 carat diamond that was originally stolen by Franky "Four Fingers" (Benicio del Toro).

Attempting to find the diamond is anything but straightforward, as he comes across Sol (Lennie James), Vincent (Robbie Gee) and Tyrone (Ade), a trio of incompetent robbers who are easily intimidated by "Bullet Tooth". Another example of the Guy Ritchie humour/tension balance is seen in the scene where Tony is held at gunpoint by the trio, only for him to call them out on the fact that their guns are clearly replicas, and his is very real.

Although Vinnie Jones is essentially playing the same role as he was in Ritchie's previous movie, that doesn't make his performance here any less entertaining. Jones and his character are given more room to breathe this time round, which leads to some of the funniest exchanges and one liners of the movie. Once again, the patented tough-guy image is what sells the entire thing, as his presence on screen is always magnetic, with every character that meets him often quaking with fear as soon as he's in sight.

Much like the previous film, it's the way that the large ensemble cast is able to bounce off one another that makes this film so enjoyable to watch, and in that regard, Vinnie Jones doesn't disappoint, as he attempts to make his way through a plot with numerous twists, turns and sudden surprises.
