10 Best DC Comics Movies (So Far)

4. V For Vendetta

Another Alan Moore classic brilliantly adapted for the big screen, V For Vendetta stands tall as one of the greatest comic book movies of all time, DC or otherwise. Like Francis Lawrence on Constantine, James McTeigue made his directorial debut with the political action thriller, having worked as an assistant director on the likes of The Matrix Trilogy and Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones. When it comes to comic book movies, politics are usually left by the wayside if they're in the original source material, but McTeigue and the Wachowski siblings, who co-wrote the script, stuck to their guns and the result is really something special. Hugo Weaving is superb as V, the freedom fighter whose Guy Fawkes mask has become synonymous with the Anonymous activist/hacktivist group. But it€™s Natalie Portman who deserves credit above all. Her portrayal of Evey is simply amazing. She delivers an impressive English accent, has her hair shaved off, and is utterly convincing throughout her scenes of torture, one of the most difficult things to pull off on film.
