10 Best Dog Movies

Based on three pets of different personalities – Chance, an adventurous young dog, Shadow, a wise dog and also a cat named Sassy – who are left behind after their family goes on vacation. Confused by the abandonment, the trio set out into the big, wide world in order to relocate their owners. Along the way, they face up to some of the greatest obstacles which no domestic pet could ever survive against.

Homeward Bound is a truly gripping adventure story. Michael J. Fox, Sally Field and Don Ameche all give fantastic vocal performances as the main characters in order to give them real personality and humanity. Some scenes are quite intense – Sassy’s near-death experience on the waterfall is certainly one to make your heart stop – but it overall remains a charming family film.

The dialogue is often a bit silly because it's geared towards children but it’s still a thrilling, heart-warming movie.
