Larry Musgrove (Patrick Rennas goalie character from The Big Green) deserves an honorable mention here but The Sandlot is such a superior overall movie that number 3 has got to go to Ham. Like Thud Butt, Hamilton Porter is part of a larger ensemble but still manages to really shine. Ham is the catcher on the team but hes also the premier trash-talker of the group, making sure other neighborhood kids know who theyre messing with. His love for Babe Ruth outshines everybodys (except for maybe Bennys) which is evidenced in the where are they now epilogue: Ham grows up to be a professional wrestler called The Great Hambino. Is this fate more or less glamorous than marrying Wendy Peffercorn and having nine kids? Unclear.
