Whenever you watch the original trilogy now and hear about all those who died to get these plans, you understand how important that throwaway line actually is.
This is all encapsulated in the character of Jyn. She is incredibly determined and has a fantastic sense of purpose in the film. Felicity Jones works wonders, taking the role and creating someone who has a tough exterior that drives them to complete the mission.
The film has a fantastic ensemble of characters that come together to relay the narrative. But Jyn is the perfect protagonist for this story. We see her begin as a cold and reserved soldier, but end as a well-rounded and sympathetic hero.
