10 Best Fifth Movies In Franchises

6. Fast Five

X-men First Class
Universal Pictures

For better or worse, we can trace the Fast and Furious franchise as it is today back to the fifth instalment released in 2011.

This was the first of the movies to really push the boat out, and by "boat" we mean "highly expensive supercar". Whilst not entirely down to him, a chap by the name of Mr. "The Rock" Johnson had a lot to do with that.

Fast Five, as it is called, was the first in the series to feature Dwayne as Luke Hobbs, the musclebound DSS agent who starts off as an enemy of Vin Diesel's gang but eventually joins the "fambly".

The film also brings back Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris as Roman and Tej respectively, putting even more of the film's classic pieces into place. The car chases also ramp up, although we're not quite at the "going into space" level just yet.

Much like Bad Grandpa, if Fast and Furious isn't your thing, then Fast Five is not for you. However, for fans of the ludicrously popular series, this film is practically a sacred text and the genesis of the franchise's best era.
