For the fifth Mission: Impossible movie, ol' Tommy thought "Hmm, what if I'm clinging to something that's big and also moving?"
You can see where this is going.
After the events of Ghost Protocol, Ethan Hunt and his gang of sexy spies do battle with both the CIA and a group called The Syndicate, a group of turncoat government agents from across the globe.
Think of them as the boy/girlband of the crime world. There's the bad one, there's... well, they're all the bad one, really.
Joining the gang for the first time are Rebecca Ferguson (who went on to become a series regular), Sean Harris, and Alec Baldwin.
The action is exciting, the plot is equal parts thrilling and intricate, the comedy actually hits home a lot of the time, and the stunts are just as big and stupid as you'd want from this franchise.
It was highly unlikely, but this series found a way to hit new strides even this far in.
Mission: Accomplished.
