Jen and Sylvia Soska entered the film scene with an exploitation film whose titled held nothing back: Dead Hooker in a Trunk. Aside from directing and writing, they also appeared in the film, which was made for less than $3,000 and was released by IFC.

That led to their most well-known feature, American Mary. A revenge film wrapped in a body horror film, the story revolves around a medical student who earns money on the side by doing extreme plastic surgery for desperate and unusual clients.

They shot a short segment for the anthology film ABC's of Death 2, and they teamed up with WWE Studios to direct both See No Evil 2 and Vendetta.

With their sophisticated style and love of gory subject matter, it's no surprise that they were chosen to helm the remake of David Cronenberg's 1977 body horror classic Rabid. Early buzz says it's an amazing achievement, and that should come as no surprise to fans of the talented duo.
