10 Best First Kills From Horror Movies

5. Judith Myers - Halloween

Kids are scary at the best of times, but one with a knife and zero remorse? Get out of here.

The iconic opening to John Carpenter's original Halloween movie shows us the world through the eyes of a 6-year-old Michael Myers. Quite literally - the first scene is done through POV.

Michael watches as his sister and babysitter Judith ignores him in favour of her boyfriend. As the two teens get bizzay, the twisted youngster hatches a plan.

Donning a clown mask, the boy grabs an enormous kitchen knife and follows his sister upstairs. He approaches her as she undresses, catching her attention moments before he repeatedly stabs her.

Seeing the kill go down from Michael's point of view only adds to its chilling nature. Viewers are forced to occupy the mind of a murderous child, literally one of the most heinous things imaginable.

This is the first of many, many, many people left dead at Myers' hands. Whilst Judith actor Sandy Johnson does her best to ruin the scene with acting hammier than a suckling pig, there's no denying that this is one of the most important and influential kills in horror history.
