10 Best Friendships In Horror Movies

The film is called Let the Right One In, but just exactly what qualities does the right one possess? What does the right one look like and what are they letting themselves into? Well, the answer to that question comes as a young boy called Oskar meets a young girl called Eli, who is concurrently living under the supervision of a middle-aged man. At first glance, he seems to be a parental figure, under the guise of what seems to be an average father and daughter relationship. As soon as Oskar enters the fray, we soon learn through his eyes that not all is what it seems.

Over the course of the film we see the bond between the vampiric Eli and the typical human Oskar burgeon into an endearing love story for the ages in an unravelling of events that are not exactly a twilight-esque love story. Instead, it contains some harrowing scenes and some seriously antagonistic implications along with it.

The most memorable scene in this flick is central to the relationship. It sees the recurring bullies who have been making Oskar’s life a living hell receive their comeuppance in one of the most gratuitously satisfying massacres in movie history. This sets in motion a cross country escape for the two children with the unsettling implication that he will one day outgrow his purpose and become discarded like the “parental figure” before him.
