10 Best Fully CGI Characters In Sci-Fi Movies
8. Ultron - Avengers: Age Of Ultron
Avengers: Age of Ultron was ultimately considered quite a disappointment when squared up to its predecessor. Despite this, the role of Ultron is still an unbelievably impressive antagonist who could have been a far bigger deal had the film accompanying him been a little better.
This character is charming, as the wonderful voice acting from James Spader gives him a hyperintelligent and Shakespearian sense of authority. Although our first introduction to him sees the villain having been just created, he's instantly intimidating as his knowledge and power is made clear from the offset.
His mechanical design is smooth and cool, and despite the baffling decision to give him a moving mouth, this remains consistent throughout. It is also incredibly appropriate as the harsh metals of the role contrast that of the colourful and welcoming designs of the Avengers, making him their perfect antithesis.
Spader also brings a lot of humour - as it to be expected with Marvel - and although it doesn't always work, for the most part it is a welcome break from the severity of the scenario.
