10 Best Hard Rock Songs Used In Movies
5. Shoot to Thrill - The Avengers
A lot of Marvel movies haven't been afraid to pull from the classic rock playbook over the years. For any of the people even casually fans of the MCU, most of the people sing the praises of acts like Blue Swede and The Runaways solely for their inclusion in these superhero movies. Whereas some might put something from Guardians of the Galaxy in this spot, Iron Man was the one to really capitalize on it back in Phase 1.
Across Iron Man's first movie, the inclusion of AC/DC was the perfect way to describe Tony Stark's life, with the grit of the guitars matching well with his care-free approach to being a superhero. However, the real inclusion of these Aussies on the soundtrack didn't fully sink in until we got to the Avengers. While Stark isn't the star of the show in this outing as much as his other films, his entrance is one for the ages, as Shoot to Thrill comes in right as he takes control and brings Loki in for questioning along with Captain America.
Even before we see Stark onscreen, the sound of Brian Johnson's vocals cut through the mix to let you know that something is going to be coming on the horizon. Even if some more badass rock moments were bound to happen in other films, this was the first time in the MCU when the music was just as important as what was going on onscreen.
