10 Best Harry Potter Characters Who Only Appeared In One Movie
6. Fluffy
You'd think an enormous three-headed dog kept in a school would be a little tougher to keep secret, but Hagrid and Dumbledore did a great job of this one.
Fluffy ended up leaving Hogwarts after his duty of guarding the Philosopher's Stone was done. He was set free in the Forbidden Forrest and eventually transported back to Greece.
This was probably the best idea for many reasons. First and foremost being that having such a dangerous animal around young children was an irrational idea, but also because the movies would have struggled to maintain the production costs of this humungous hound.
While he only appeared in Philosopher's Stone, he's easily one of the most memorable beasties in the series. This wasn't just because of his wild and dangerous look, but also the intriguing way that he was bested. Seeing the terrifying creature put out of action after being charmed to sleep was a great move and made for one of the franchise's tensest moments.
Although it was ultimately a good thing that this awesome monster departed, there's no doubt that seeing him partake in the Battle of Hogwarts would have been an amazing spectacle.
