10 Best Harry Potter Characters Who Only Appeared In One Movie

As soon as Luna Lovegood was introduced in The Order of the Phoenix, she stole the audience's hearts. Her quirky manner of talking and weirdness was ever so charming, and viewers were very excited to see what her homestead was like. Thankfully, they got their wish, and it was well paid-off.

Upon first meeting Xenophilius (Luna's father) in Deathly Hallows Part One, it's easy to see how the Lovegood family operated. They relished in their absurdity, and the dynamic between Luna and her father was incredibly endearing. But he was far more than just a quirky side character, as the Lovegood patriarch ended up playing a pivotal role in the narrative.

The character - brought to life wonderfully by Rhys Ifans - would introduce the Deathly Hallows concept. Although he would betray the leads to the Death Eaters just after teaching them about the titular objects, his motive to free Luna kept him feeling sympathetic.

He does have a place in the Deathly Hallows Part Two deleted scenes but never made it into any theatrical cuts outside of his debut.
