10 Best Hidden Gem Halloween Horror Movies

8. Tales Of Halloween

Epic Pictures Releasing

When done right, there are few things in horror better than a good anthology picture. Take Creepshow, Trick 'r Treat, Body Bags, The ABCs of Death, or the better V/H/S movies - all prime examples of a great collection of horror stories.

And then, well then there's Tales of Halloween.

For whatever reason, this 2015 anthology has largely flown under the radar despite so many horror favourites being involved. From Adrienne Barbeau to John Landis, to Barbara Crampton, to Stuart Gordon, to Caroline Williams, to Barry Bostwick, to Pollyanna McIntosh, to Adam Green, to Lin Shaye, to Pat Healy, to Gracie Gillam, to Neil Marshall, to... you get the idea.

Safe to say, Tales of Halloween is stacked when it comes to the talent involved. As for the tales they find themselves in, there's a hugely varied selection of ten stories here, with particular highlights seeing a young trick-or-treater getting a little more than they bargained for after attempting to egg the wrong house, and a trio of wannabe gangbangers running into some demonic trouble.

The tone here is quirky and tongue-in-cheek, the action extremely gorey when called for, and it's a total blast to see so many familiar horror faces gathered together across Tales of Halloween's 90 minutes.
