10 Best Horror Comedy TV Shows You Need To See

1. Ash Vs Evil Dead

Already one of genre cinema's most enduring franchises, the Evil Dead became one of TV's best when it took to the small screen in 2015. Ignoring the 2013 remake, Ash vs Evil Dead brought back Bruce Campbell as the iconic Ashley J. Williams, Deadite scourge and utter bonehead. This time, however, he wasn't alone. For 3 seasons, Ash was joined by Ghostbeaters Kelly and Pablo, plus on-again-off-again enemy Ruby (Lucy Lawless!)

Together, they would battle the evil of the Necronomicon and an ever-looming apocalypse for 3 seasons - essentially 3 very groovy Evil Dead sequels. Skewing close to Evil Dead II in terms of tone, Ash vs Evil Dead delivered week after week of all the ridiculous gore and slapstick fans could have dreamed of. Campbell too, was on top form, ageing perfectly disgracefully.

Sadly, the show was cancelled after its third season - but it ends on a fitting note for Ash, stranded in the future with a fresh new Deadite threat. Many never expected Ash to return in the first place, so the few seasons of Ash vs Evil Dead we did get serve as a very groovy treat indeed.
