One for fans of classic Hammer horror - this 2001 Steve Coogan spoof was a tongue-in-cheek riff on many a Hammer production, by way of Amicus and Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected. Although short-lived, this six episode series took on vampires, witches, witchfinders, mad scientists, and more. Its fourth episode, And Now the Fearing, even managed to fit in an anthology-within-an-anthology - a direct parody of Amicus's The Vault of Horror.

In addition to Coogan himself, the series also features such classic horror mainstays as Honor Blackman, Graham Crowden and Joan Greenwood. Keep an eye out for the likes of Simon Pegg, Mark Gatiss, Warwick Davis and more. The show itself is hit-and-miss, but it's well worth it for fans of classic horror and cult British TV.

Sadly, Coogan's non-Partridge project never really took off, and the series stalled at one series. What remains is a fun curiosity that's sure to tickle the collective fancy of the more curious genre fans out there.
