1. Janet Leigh - Halloween H20 (1998)
The mother of all cameos. In addition to being one of the first scream queens with her role as Marion Crane in Psycho, Janet Leigh is also Jamie Lee Curtis' mother. What makes this cameo so good is the fact that when Norma is leaving the school, she stands in front of her car, a '57 Ford. The same car that her character in Psycho drives when she arrives at the Bates Motel, down to the same license plate number, NFB 418. In addition, the music playing in the background during this scene is from Psycho. Fun Fact: The role of Norma was originally offered to P.J. Soles, who played Lynda in the original film. Soles ultimately couldn't decide whether she wanted to come back to the franchise as a different character, leading producers to hire Janet Leigh instead. What are your favourite scary movie cameos?
