10 Best Horror Movie Scenes When Evil Characters Turned Good

The Hellraiser franchise features one of the most creative creature designs with its Cenobites. With Pinhead in the forefront, he leads Butterball, Chatterer, and the Female who all have distinct appearances.

In the sequel, Hellbound: Hellraiser II, the final girl Kristy Cotton shows Pinhead a picture of Captain Elliot Spencer, the man he once was before he underwent his supernatural transformation. The image reminds the Cenobite of his humanity with his compatriots following suit.

The four then confront Dr. Philip Channard, who has become a Cenobite himself. Unfortunately for our main quartet, the doctor has been possessed by Leviathan which makes him infinitely more powerful than them. This leads to a curb-stomp battle where he effortlessly kills the three Cenobites who revert to their human forms upon death.

Pinhead even gets it the worst as Channard gradually transforms him into his human form. Finally, when he resembles Elliot Spencer, the man gives Kristy one poignant look before his throat is slashed and he drowns in his own blood.

Though many were disappointed by how quickly the four fell, Hellraiser II explored the tragedy of these characters. That once, they too were human who fell into temptation by the puzzle box and were transformed into the Cenobites they are.
