10 Best Horror Movies Turning 30 In 2020

7. Troll 2

Troll 2
Filmirage

It might not be GREAT but Troll 2 falls firmly into the camp of so bad it's good, featuring some of the worst dialogue and acting this side of Uwe Boll film. The film has the honour of being a sequel to a film it has nothing to do with whatsoever. It was produced initially under the title Goblins until this was changed to capitalise on Troll's moderate success, despite the fact that there are no actual trolls in the film.

This is utter and mindless fun. It's a film that gets even better with the backstory. The film was made as a joint Italian/American venture, featuring crew members who didn't speak English and actors who received their scripts day by day often struggled with the words as they were written.

The film's most famous scene as depicted above has gone down in history as one of the best worst scenes ever made. The actor in question, Michael Stephenson, has gone on to make a documentary about the making of the film entitled Best Worst Film. While this movie may never find its way onto most critics' best of lists, it has its charm as the little horror film that succeeded in longevity if nothing else.

Best enjoyed with a drink in hand, this comedy horror hitting its thirties is a birthday to celebrate.
