6. April Fools Day

Well... something isn't right here. April Fools Day is noted as being a classic 80s slasher, detailing a group of college students who attend one of their cousin's mansions for a Spring Break weekend. As the film plays out, it's revealed that Muffy's penchant for practical jokes has taken a turn for the worst, and a sadistic killer is on the loose to take advantage of her set up.

The film is a horror alright, one that's packed to the brim with grisly death sequences. So what the hell is it doing on a list that details specifically movies where nobody bites the dust?

For those that don't want a SPOILER, look away now, as I shall reveal all...

Considering the title, this one is a no brainer, as the end reveals it was all an elaborate ploy to trick the audience. Muffy's mansion is on the cards to become a themed horror escape, and her guests are actors going through a dress rehearsal for their gruesome, and notably, very fake deaths. Not one murder in the movie is one that actually holds any weight, which feels like a cheat, but hey, it still counts.
