10 Best ‘I’m Dead And I Know It’ Moments In Vampire Horror Movies

3. Lost Boys III: The Thirst - Peter

Thirst 2009 ending Park Chan-wook
Warner Premiere

The beauty of this death really is owed to Edgar, a deadbeat turned vampire hunter who had an ingenious idea at the very last moment. A desperate writer asks Edgar to track down and save her brother Peter, who she believes was turned into a vampire whilst at a rave in Ibiza. But things aren’t as they seem...

After finding out that he has been sent on a false mission, and that the boy he thought was a helpless younger sibling is in fact a ruthless alpha vampire, he’s put in a rather sticky situation. Edgar is surrounded by vamps and Peter is looking pretty confident, using his superior strength and his control over the fellow vampires he’s sure he’s gonna come out on top.

Edgar, in nothing less than a stroke of sheer genius, creates a weapon out of nowhere. He pulls down a water pipe, dousing vampire Peter in water. Peter looks a little confused as to why Edgar thought water would be able to hurt him - until Edgar starts speaking in Latin.

The absolute legend is blessing the water, turning it into holy water once Peter is already drenched in it. Peter’s face switches from confusion to terrified understanding just moments before the holy water starts to scorch his skin and then blow him to smithereens. What a way to go.
