10 Best Jokes From Star Wars Movies

7. "I Haven't Got All Day" - Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi

Han Solo's bullying of C3PO is one of the main delights of the original trilogy. This is best shown during a scene where he relentlessly prompts the interpreter to ask the ewoks for assistance against the Imperials. After the droid complies, Han responds not with gratitude, but by grabbing Threepio by the arm and saying, "And hurry up will ya? I haven't got all day!" The charm of this moment is predicated on an audience knowing (and loving) the borderline abusive dynamic that exists between the droid and Solo. It also relies on Anthony Daniel's masterful physicality. and the actor achieves a wonderful effect by whipping back and forth from talking to the ewoks (in their native language) and listening to Solo's orders. This moment is most notable for how the droid does an unmistakable double-take a the end of the scene, which perfectly conveys his humorous level of confusion and incredulity.
