10 Best Live Action Movie Batsuits
2. Robert Pattinson - The Batman
Sorry Christopher Nolan, despite your best efforts, this is probably the most functional batsuit on this list... and almost the coolest. The 2022 batsuit was conceived and designed to be as realistic as possible, (as much as a man dressing up as a flying rodent and fighting crime should be, of course). There's a lot to like here, the colour scheme is atypical Batman and the bulky collar and shorter cape subconsciously invokes memories of the turned-up trench-coats of classic noir movies. There's tech add-ons galore too: the gloves have grapple-guns hidden underneath, and the whole bodysuit and cape transforms into a glider.
The cowl is arguably the best part. With pulled back horns and a squared off nose, it is apparently intended to look like a skull, (and simultaneously pay a surprising homage to Adam West's look).
In the movie, it's not a complete suit yet as this Batman is only into his second year. Thus, it's highly likely that it will change between this film and the sequel. Still, it's a great first step, and a one that is unlike all of its predecessors in aesthetic. Like the symbol on his chest, the suit is not like something we've seen before and is full of surprises... and for the first time, the eye makeup doesn't magically disappear when Bruce Wayne takes the mask off.
