10 Best MCU Movie Endings (So Far)
5. Black Panther
There are so many things to be said about the incredible Black Panther. Stuck in a tough release spot, with everyone's attention firmly focused on the upcoming Infinity War, Ryan Coogler's movie became one of the most critically acclaimed comic book movies at the time, and even earned itself a Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards.
Two of its greatest aspects were the villain, as Michael B. Jordan portrayed Erik Killmonger as one of the best antagonists ever to grace the MCU, and its aesthetics. From every facet of Wakanda, the mountains, the cities, the clothing, to the astral plane in which T'Challa spoke to his father again, everything looked stunning.
Both of these featured heavily in ending the movie as well as it did. Defeated, Killmonger made the character-defining decision to face death rather than bondage. It was this message that truly elevated him above almost all of the other villains in the franchise, as he and T'Challa peacefully looked over the incredibly picturesque African nation.
Aside from the final fight, and the Black Panther's return to the battlefield, it was the solemn, powerful interaction between the King and his cousin that drew Black Panther to such an emotional conclusion.
