6. Zombie Kill Of The Year (Zombieland: Double Tap)

The first Zombieland film featured the prestigious "Zombie Kill Of The Week" award, which was earned by one Cynthia Knickerbocker, who lured a zombie to her front door before dropping a piano on top of it, turning the monster into a fleshy pancake.

In the name of upping the ante, recent sequel Zombieland: Double Tap upgraded this award to "Zombie Kill Of The Year", which went to an Italian man by the name of Matteo Bianchi - and boy, did he earn it.

Rather than using guns or knives to take out a trio of hungry zombies, Matteo put his thinking cap on and came up with a pretty crazy way to kill them. Luring them in with the promise of food, he distracted them with mannequins, allowing him to tip the Leaning Tower Of Pisa - yes, the real one - and flatten their helpless undead bodies.

It's a quick moment in the movie but it's insanely imaginative and funny, and made us genuinely interested in seeing more of these creative kills from other survivors around the globe. Chucking some zombies from atop the Eiffel Tower? Impaling them with a clock arm ripped from Big Ben? The possibilities are endless!

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
