10 Best Movie Insults Of All Time

5. The Way of the Gun

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpHo1Qx-stU Sometimes an insult can be so creatively profane that it doesn't really need to be clever, and that's the thinking behind Ryan Phillippe's quip in Christopher McQuarrie's crime flick The Way of the Gun. His character, Mr. Parker, gets involved in a spat outside a club with a guy and his mouthy girlfriend. The result is a quip that put just about everyone, including the audience, in their place. €œShut that c***€™s mouth or I€™ll come over there and f***-start her head.€ Quite how do you retort to that? It's a trump card, an instant argument-stopper that manages to be both shocking and hilarious all at once. Its crude use of the C-word (in actually referring to a woman) might seem distasteful to some, but this is for my money the greatest moment in the film, and certainly the most memorable.
