There's nothing quite like being sent on an epic quest with an awesome team name coined by Hugo Weaving, is there?

Sometimes a title drop doesn't need to have any deeper meaning other than being an excellent story-propelling device. And while everything before this point has been setup for the trilogy to follow, the moment these words are spoken, the story of Lord Of The Rings officially begins.

After the turmoil and uncertainty that the scenes prior had been instilling in the audience, seeing the heroes come together is the perfect catharsis. Which is then given a nice little bow by Elrond, giving their adventuring party a proper moniker.

Sometimes that's all a title drop has to do. That doesn't make it any less difficult to pull off though, especially when the aim is to satisfy the audience. Luckily they had the perfect name to work with here.
