10 Best Movie Trailers Of The 2010s
9. Suicide Squad
This trailer is the perfect example of why you should never go see a film based purely on marketing.
The combination of Queen’s 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and the flash editing made for an unforgettable couple of minutes. Despite how well-known this rock anthem is, the reason it works so well in this trailer is due to the way it merges seamlessly with the action scenes –particularly in the second half.
The performances and the costumes are also terrific. The design of each character clearly had a lot of thought put into it. Even the Joker – who wasn’t very well received when the film was released – carries plenty of intrigue in this trailer.
It's a shame, therefore, that the movie itself was a mess. The story was practically non-existent, and even with some great performances, the absence of character arcs made Suicide Squad a massive disappointment.
Film fans would probably have had a better time if they’d simply re-watched this trailer rather than going to see the film in its totality.
