The Mission Impossible franchise is remarkably consistent. With the possible exception of the second entry, all the other movies have been great.

Oddly enough, the main song for this trailer is ‘Friction’ by Imagine Dragons – a band who are often regarded as one of the worst to emerge from the last decade. However, this track works perfectly in the trailer.

Yet the biggest selling point is obviously the stunts. The brief snippets of the helicopter chase are certainly the highlight, but the brutal exchange in the bathroom is another great moment – especially when Henry Cavill throws his opponent through the mirror.

This trailer also made it clear Fallout wasn’t going to be a repeat of Rogue Nation. Despite a similar cast and the same director, Fallout’s darker tone is apparent from the outset.

The sixth Mission Impossible movie is considered by many to be the best of the franchise, and it’s easy to see why based on this trailer alone.
