10 Best Music Sequences In The Shrek Films

8. Snow White Attacks (Immigrant Song)

Although Shrek The Third didn't live up to the high expectations that Shrek and Shrek 2 set, there is no denying there were some iconic moments in that film. The stand out sequence being when the fairytale princesses, Fiona, The Queen, Donkey and Puss In Boots band together to break out of the dungeons and storm the castle to take it back from Prince Charming.

In this scene, Cinderella sharpens her glass slipper to prepare for battle, Sleeping Beauty burns her bra and The Queen (played by Julie Andrews) headbutts the wall so hard she gets woozy and starts humming "My Favourite Things".

As they prepare to take the castle, they notice it is protected by enchanted trees so Snow White takes it upon herself to take care of the Ent-like guards with her singing. She begins by blissfully charming the forest wildlife with her sweet singing voice but the moment of awe quickly becomes a moment of "AAAH" as her singing turns into Led Zeppelin's iconic Immigrant Song. Spurned on by the heavy guitars and piercing vocals, the woodland creatures attack and incapacitate the guards.

I see my role at WhatCulture the same way my wife sees my role as a lover: I contribute in a very small way, my presence is barely noticeable and I’m not entirely sure if the laughter is at me or with me.
