7. Puss And Donkey (La Vida Loca - Ricky Martin)
Puss In Boots and Donkey don't get off to the best of starts in their relationship. Puss (voiced by Antonio Banderas) is hired to assassinate Shrek to make way for Prince Charming to marry Princess Fiona.
Despite Puss' deceptively adorable face and skills with the blade, he was the architect of his own downfall when a poorly timed furball disrupts the fight. Shrek brushes the assassination attempt off and Puss swears his allegiance to the ogre much to Donkey's disapproval.
What follows is a series of jibes and put downs between Puss and Donkey as they both compete for Shrek's affection. At the film's climax, the two discover they work better together and their new-found friendship is reinforced with a rendition of Ricky Martin's La Vida Loca at the end of the film.
This impressive spectacle leaves the film on a high as it shows off Eddie Murphy's (who voices Donkey) impressive vocal range and Banderas' Spanish charm gives an added edge to the performance.
Look out for Puss' homage to Flashdance during the line "She'll make you take your clothes off and go dancing in the rain". Purrrfect.
