10 Best Music Sequences In The Shrek Films
4. Shrek Breaks Into The Potion Room (Ever Fallen In Love - Pete Yorn)
In the incredible sequel, Shrek 2, we are introduced to more wacky characters like Harold (Fiona's Dad and king of Far Far Away), Puss In Boots and the fabulous Fairy Godmother.
In a desperate attempt to fit in with Fiona's family, Shrek seeks out a potion that will make him go from being an ogre to a normal human being. Accompanied by Puss and Donkey, Shrek sneaks his way into The Fairy Godmother's potion factory disguised as a health inspector then stealing a hazmat suit which barely fits over his head.
Puss finds a potion labelled "Happily Ever After" before their cover is blown. As the alarm goes off and the potions begin to fall around them, Pete Yorn's version of The Buzzcock's Ever Fallen In Love kicks in as the perfect escape song.
The chase is hilariously disastrous as Shrek tries to run against a conveyor belt, lands on a potion mixer and empties out a large vat of love potion which turns the henchmen armed with rapid firing crossbows into doves.
Look out for the homage to Indiana Jones as Puss loses his hat under a closing door and gives the camera a knowing look.
