Leonard Nimoy's Mr. Spock is arguably the most recognisable character in the entire Star Trek universe. His distinctive appearance aside, the Vulcan-human hybrid's calculative mannerisms are emphasised in no small part by Nimoy's deep and authoritative speaking voice, something that make the character's rare moments of emotionality all the more impactful.

It's easy to see why the sci-fi legend was snapped up for the 1986 animated film, The Transformers: The Movie, based on the classic Transformers series of the mid-1980s. Complementing an already star-studded cast, Nimoy voices the character of Galvatron, the resurrected incarnation of Megatron, making for a frightful and imposing new challenge for the intrepid Autobots.

What's interesting to note, too, is that Nimoy returned to the Transformers franchise in 2011's Transformers: Dark of the Moon, as another of the series's main villains, Sentinel Prime. It goes without saying, however, that the original Transformers movie is by far the more beloved of the two.
