10 Best Shia LaBeouf Film Performances
8. The Greatest Game Ever Played
This golf biopic from 2005 had a young Shia pairing up with Disney yet again to bring audiences the true story of the young golf phenom Francis Ouimet.
This stirring story centers around the young Francis attempting to break into the professional golfing world in the early 1900s. This was a very fitting role for the young actor as it could be considered a metaphor for his career at the time; an underage youth attempting to break into an industry that is considered to be only for the mature.
Shia did more than just breakthrough in this outing however. He blew audiences away as his character faces what seems to be insurmountable odds to fight his way into the British Open.
Up until this point, the young actor had only been seen in "kiddy roles" - the likes of Even Stevens and Holes. This was when he began to run as an actor, as his turn as Ouimet featured a wide variety of emotions. This showed audiences just how multi-dimensional the actor could be, and he was only getting started.
