10 Best Stephen King Cameos
6. Bachman - Sons Of Anarchy
We really have to give points to the show creators for this one. In the long running series Sons of Anarchy had a number of familiar faces throughout its air time. Some playing major roles, like Ron Perlman, others just brief cameos.
King's turn came in the Season 3 episode The Caregiver. When Kim Coates' character, Tig, needs help disposing of the body of Amelia, the caregiver to Gemma's father, he hires a 'cleaner'.
Enter Bachman, riding in on a Harley and with a fondness for oldies music. He measures up the body, getting a little too hands on for comfort with the process, before Tig and Gemma what he needs and getting to work. It's memorable and despite how uncomfortable the moment is, it is also darkly comical.
According to show creator Kurt Sutter he had offered King a chance to write, direct or star in an episode. King said that all he wanted to do was ride a Harley. And there is no denying, he looks good while doing so.
Another great nod in this cameo, of course, is the name of the character. Richard Bachman was King's pen name for some of his novels, including The Running Man and Thinner. While it has been a long time since the name was used, it is a very nice cherry on top of a delicious cake.
