When Insidious was released in 2010, it was lauded as one of the scariest horror movies ever conceived and successfully produced; this writer vividly recalls several audience members running out of the theatre half way through a screening looking white as a sheet. Depicting the tale of a family terrorized by malevolent spectral forces, Insidious is a genuinely terrifying movie experience and highlights that moving to the suburbs within the horror genre is essentially the equivalent of putting a "Demon Wanted" sign on your front lawn.

The red faced demonic entity that features as Insidious' prime antagonist is legitimate nightmare fuel; two yellow eyes shining out of horrendous snarling face make for an absolutely traumatic visage.
