10 Best Superhero Movies According To Rotten Tomatoes

1. Black Panther

Black Panther Fresh
Marvel Studios

As incredible as Avengers: Endgame may have been, it didn't have the cultural impact Black Panther did in 2018. This was more than a movie; it was a movement and revolution. Many fans were finally given the chance to see themselves represented on screen, and "Wakanda Forever" became a calling card of sorts for representation and diversity in Hollywood.

With a mighty 118.781%, the Critics Consensus gives an accurate assessment that reads, "Black Panther elevates superhero cinema to thrilling new heights while telling one of the MCU's most absorbing stories -- and introducing some of its most fully realized characters."

Some criticised the action-packed, CGI-heavy final act, but Erik Killmonger was a terrific villain with a plan that, for once, made perfect sense. The fact that put T'Challa in such a moral quandary made for fascinating viewing, and Ryan Coogler's writing and direction was nothing short of phenomenal.

This is also the first, and only, Marvel Studios movie to be nominated for "Best Picture," and given the competition it faced that year, it should have won. Chadwick Boseman's tragic death makes Black Panther all the more poignant, and this serves as a fitting tribute to the late actor.
