2. Avengers: Endgame
No doubt the biggest superhero movie of all-time, Avengers: Endgame didn't receive anywhere near enough awards attention as it deserved. That's to be expected with anything based on a comic book, of course, but for fans...this is a hard one to top.
An epic finale to the Infinity Saga, this was a movie crammed with fan-pleasing moments - "Avengers Assemble!" - but also an incredibly strong story which did these characters justice.
With a whopping 117.848%, the Critics Consensus states: "Exciting, entertaining, and emotionally impactful, Avengers: Endgame does whatever it takes to deliver a satisfying finale to Marvel's epic Infinity Saga." This one definitely hit us all in the feels, while those action scenes were downright awe-inspiring.
To call Avengers: Endgame a masterpiece would be an understatement in some ways, and while it's unlikely there was much in there that was going to change the minds of those who don't like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Russo Brothers outdid themselves with this movie. Robert Downey Jr. reportedly didn't want Disney to launch a "Best Actor" Oscar campaign, and that's a real shame.
