10 Best Superhero Movies According To Rotten Tomatoes
5. Thor: Ragnarok
Thor had always been a great character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he never managed to move past his comic book counterpart's B-List status. After two middle of the road solo outings, filmmaker Taika Waititi came in to save the day with Thor: Ragnarok, a visually stunning, hilarious adventure for Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder.
Sitting at 111.61%, the threequel's Critics Consensus describes it as, "Exciting, funny, and above all fun, Thor: Ragnarok is a colorful cosmic adventure that sets a new standard for its franchise -- and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe."
That's a fair assessment, and in terms of the movies that are released between each time the Avengers assemble, it definitely raised the bar. As well as reinventing Thor as a character with a real personality, Thor: Ragnarok did The Hulk a lot of favours too, all while introducing the likes of Valkyrie and Korg (God, we love Korg) to the MCU.
There's not another Marvel Studios movie like this, and Thor: Love and Thunder can't get here soon enough.
