10 Best Teen Comedies Of The Decade

8. Dope

Open Road Films

Dope is exactly like its title: dope. Stylish and fast-paced, the film has a lot going for it, combining comedy, romance, drama, and crime into one intelligent and entertaining package.

Because most teen films take place in high school, there's not really much that can go on besides the things we're too familiar with like crushes or popularity. So when one brings something new to the table, it feels refreshing, unexpected, and most of all, welcome.

But while Dope may be dope because of how smart and edgy it is, it also gets points for being surprisingly touching and thought-provoking. Rick Famuyiwa's insightful script and Shameik Moore's charismatic performance make this one a winner.
